One of the biggest problems Americans face today is simply how lazy we are, which ultimately results in certain people being misinformed/uninformed/and simply ignorant to what is going on in the world. So here's a few things you missed when you relied on Facebook for your news this week.

10. Democrats Flip Seats from Red to Blue

So far, Democrats have already won 27 out of 35 special elections held this year.

9. Puerto Rico Still Needs Help

After the horrible Hurricane season left behind the unimaginable amount of devastation, Puerto Rico governor pleads for more help after POTUS doesn't help.

8. Afghanistan War Veteran Supports NFL

Veterans are supporting NFL players who choose to take a knee during the anthem.

7. POTUS Endorsed Senate Candidate Looses

POTUS Trump has been endorsing Alabama's Senate Candidate Strange, however, he lost to Roy Moore (conservative).

6. Private Email Use Scandal (again)

The same people who fought for news coverage regarding Hillary's email scandal are now making the news. This time, the POTUS' Son-in-law & adviser Kushner reportedly sent around 100 work-related emails on his private account, in addition to his wife and POTUS' daughter Ivanka's same misuse.

5. Manaro Voui Volcano Facing Eruption

A volcano in the South Pacific has recently been dubbed by scientists as facing a "major" eruption.

4. Border Wall Construction Begins

A "large scale prototype" of POTUS Trump's border wall is in the early phases of being built in San Diego.

3. Newest Version of Travel Ban

POTUS Trump's administration has recently updated the Travel Ban, which has removed Sudan while adding Chaz, Venezuela, and North Korea.

2. GOP Tax Plan

The White House and House Republicans recently released the new tax plan. This plan focuses on reducing the corporate tax rate, doubling standard deductions, and increasing the child tax credit. Ultimately, reducing the now 7 tax brackets to 3.

1. Republicans Fighting GOP Healthcare BIll

The Third Republican Sen. Susan Collins (R.Maine) has decided to NOT support the GOP Healthcare Bill which aimed at repealing and replacing Obamacare.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
