Every college student knows the struggles of being poor. There is nothing worse than craving your favorite food, but knowing you can't afford it. Being a poor college student is all about priorities. Will I spend my money on dinner tonight or cover for the bar? Let's be honest, we would all probably pick the bar and try to scrounge up some peanut butter crackers and call that dinner. Here are 15 things as a broke college student you know you have thought to yourself or done at least once.

1. Filling up your water bottles at school cause you can't afford bottled water.

2. Two words: Ramen Noodles.


3. Only buying store brand food because it's cheaper.


4. When trying to be healthy is whole wheat mac and cheese.


5. When you can't afford gas so you put $5 in at a time and hope the hills help you roll to class.


6. Asking freshman to use their meal swipes.


7. Counting on pledge rides to get you places.


8. Only buying food off the value menu when you’re feeling like splurging.


9. Skol vodka does the job when you can't afford nice liquor.


10. Taking trash bags and toilet paper from work because you can't afford them.


11. Trying to land a babysitting job just for the free food.


12. Always ordering water when you eat out.


13. Using Ebay and Amazon to buy just about everything.


14. Trying t o see how long you can get by without buying the “mandatory” text book.


15. Going three weeks with $9 in your bank account and that being a pretty normal thing for you to do.
