What Did You Do This Summer?

Every summer is filled with its own unique memories or perhaps similar ones depending on what kind of life you live. Regardless, the classic summer bucket list is the best way to realistically and unrealistically plan all the accomplishments for the upcoming summer. Yes, I understand that these types of articles are normally written before summer and not at the end. That is why I am here to tell you all of the things you should have done this summer. Don't worry if you haven't crossed them all off yet, you still have some time.

1. Road trip with friends

This road trip does not necessarily have to be across the country, simply hop in the car, turn on some turns and go just about anywhere near or far. However, it is not a true road trip until something minor goes wrong (ex. parking tickets, accidentally end up in Canada, locked keys in car, etc.)

2. Worked (a lot)

I mean, how else did you plan to fund all these bucket list plans?

3. Concert

Music festival, country concert, maybe an alternative venue, whatever your style, summer is the perfect time to catch your favorite band or a new singer on stage.

4. Read some quality books

There is no better time than summer to grab that pile of books you've been pushing off for when you had more free time. Whether it's a long car ride or lounge on the beach, I hope one of those dear books made it by your side.

5. Went somewhere you've never been

Again, this does not mean you dropped everything and went to Canada or some exotic island. All you had to do was check out one of those cool and mysterious places close to home. They're only as far away as you want them to be.

6. Binge-watched that Netflix series

How to feel productive on a rainy day; watch an entire season of that Netflix series you've been meaning to watch. I know that's how I spent my lazy days.

7. Go to the beach

This one is not a must, but it is definitely a nice addition to the summer bucket list. Just don't forget the sunscreen.

8. Ate lots of ice cream

Last but not least, my favorite summer pastime. I hope you visited at least one of those sketchy but yummy ice cream shops, because you best believe that is what I did.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
