Everyone knows the stigma surrounding syllabus week in college. Syllabus week is the first week of a new semester where professors give no work and all they do during class is go over the syllabus and what is expected in that class for the next several weeks. That means students go out every night, stay up late, and party to their hearts' desire.

Even though not everyone has the same Sylly Week experience, pretty much everyone can relate to the mood the week after.

When the professor begins their lesson and it's like you weren't even there the week before

And they all pile on work with the same due dates


Suddenly you have so much work that you barely have time to eat

But new classes means new friends...

By the middle of the week, full-blown panic attacks have already taken place

Thursday rolls around...

Then the weekend!

And you realize you have to do this all again in a few days

When there's nothing left to do, you just dance it out

And by Monday morning you've got (some of) your life figured out!

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
