Lisa made her way to Angelo's Bistro as quickly as she could. Her heeled steps made a quick clacking sound on the pavement as she tried to weave her way through the people crowding the sidewalks.

"Excuse me, excuse me." Lisa said pushing her way through the crowds.

Lisa was almost to the Bistro when a large group blocked her path. She tried to weave her way through but kept getting shoved back out.

"Excuse me, I really need to get through."

Again, Lisa was shoved right back out to the edges of the group.

"For God's sake! Will you just move already!" Lisa exclaimed furiously.

A few men moved providing a small pathway for Lisa to follow. Lisa darted through and finally made it to the bistro. Standing face to face with the entrance brought her back to the day that she had first stumbled on it.

Lisa turned the corner not really paying too much attention to anything besides the book that was in her hands. Instead of seeing the person in front of her and moving aside, Lisa ran straight into him.

"Oof!"

"Ow!"

"Sorry about that I wasn't paying..." Lisa started.

She looked up at the person she'd bumped into and her eyes went wide.

"Jimmy? Is that really you?"

The man was easily six feet tall and appeared to be in rather good shape. His chestnut brown hair was a little long and his skin was tanned. He smiled a charmingly crooked smile that lit up his blue eyes.

"Hey Lisa, it's been a long time." Jimmy said extending his hand.

"How? Why? What are you doing here? I thought you were in Maine!" Lisa blurted out.

"I just transferred here for school."

"Oh, so I guess I'll see you around. I'm a student too."

"Freshman?"

"No. Sophmore. "

"Cool. Honestly, it's nice to see a friendly face around here. Maybe we could catch up sometime this week?"

"Uh, sure. I don't have any classes after Friday so anytime after that is fine."

"Friday it is then. Meet for lunch?"

"Okay. Where?"

"How about right here? This place doesn't look so bad." Jimmy said gesturing towards the building next to them.

Lisa took in the old, brick building. Small bits of ivy climbed up the side of the building. The large window displayed "Angelo's Bistro" in great, bold, black letters. The green door had a little bell above it that dinged whenever someone opened the door.

"I guess I'll see you here then. On Friday."

"It's a date."

With that, Jimmy walked off. He turned around and gave Lisa a small wave before disappearing around a corner.

-In the Present-

Lisa shoved the thoughts from her head and walked inside. Jackie was already waiting at a table with two coffees at the ready. She sat down and looked over her old friend. His sandy brown hair was cut short and his skin was lighter than she'd ever seen it before. His hazel eyes were creased with worry and Lisa noticed dark circles under them.

"Thanks for meeting me."

"What did he do?" Jackie asked sadly.

"He's filing for divorce. He's kicked her out. I went yesterday to get a few of her things but couldn't grab all of it. He's giving her two weeks to get everything out."

"Did he give a reason?"

"Yes."

"Do I want to know?"

"Probably not."

Jackie ran his fingers through his hair and let out a long sigh.

"Is it because of me?"

Lisa stared into her cup of coffee intently. Jackie put a hand on hers.

"Lisa?"

"Yes. Thomas believes that she's still in love with you. Even after all of this time."

"Oh geez. I've got to go set this straight. Sarah loves that guy more than anyone and we've been done for, god what, seven or eight years now?"

Jackie shot up as if he meant to go right that minute. Lisa grabbed his arm and pulled him back to his seat gently.

"I think that might make it worse, Jackie."

"Right, right."

"I am going to need help getting Sarah's stuff back to my place. It'd be nice if maybe you and Teddy could help with that. Teddy still has the truck right?"

"Yeah. He loves that truck."

"Still roommates then?"

"He cooks, he cleans, he doesn't make a lot of noise and he pays his half of the rent on time every time. Couldn't ask for a better one."

"Well, at least there's that."

Lisa took a deep drink of her coffee and swallowed hard. Jackie searched her face but as usual, it was a blank slate. Anyone who didn't know her would have thought that she was calm.

"Lisa, are you alright? Do you want to go somewhere else? I know how hard it is for you to be here, especially around this time of year."

"I'll be okay. Sarah needs us right now. So let's just focus on that."

"Lisa, it's okay. Sarah would understand especially since it's only the second year since Jimmy..."

"Don't. Just don't Jackie." Lisa cut him off.

Lisa took a deep breath and calmed herself.

"Let's just not go there today, okay? Text me when you find out a good day for you and Teddy to help with Sarah's stuff. I'm off all week so i'm good whenever. It was nice seeing you Jackie-boy."

Lisa left quickly and left Jackie at the table. Once she was out of sight Jackie let out deep sigh he'd been holding in and grabbed for his phone.

"Teddy? Sarah needs us to help her move. I'll give you the details later. Tonight? Okay, i'll let Lisa know. Thanks."

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
