We Need To Fight Back

This Is World War III.

We Need To Fight Back

Though ISIS has been established since 1999, the world is finally beginning to realize what this violent organization is capable of. After their attack on French soil this past month, where 129 were killed, 352 injured, 99 critically injured and hundreds more traumatized, their threat is becoming a reality.

This isn’t the first major plan executed by the terrorist group. In 2014, ISIS began exterminating Christians throughout the Middle East, nearly wiping out its entire Christian population. Though ISIS was sending out threats to takeover the United States at the time, we failed to take precautions and underestimated what they will actually do.

As an Iraqi Christian myself, I can’t help but worry about President Obama’s reaction to the recent attacks within the last year. He believes that we have contained ISIS and that they are actually a weakening organization. He speaks out on the attack in the video below.

President Obama says ISIS is "contained"

“I don’t think they are gaining strength,” says Obama in this interview.

Though President Obama believes ISIS is contained, their size and willingness to harm says otherwise. For example, earlier this year they released a video beheading 21 Egyptian Christians. Video below.

It seems that their plan was to target smaller and weaker territories until they gained the followers and strength to invade more powerful countries where they plan on completely taking over.

Below is a video of a 17-year-old Australian boy who speaks out on his determination to take over the U.S. and parts of Europe.

They have also publicized their future plans to attack 15 U.S. states. Pope Francis referred to the recent events as the mark of World War III. It’s undeniable that the threat of ISIS is relevant to each of us and action must be taken. If America and other countries continue to be hesitant about getting involved in trying to discourage this organization from future attacks, I have no doubt that they will gain the power and control they are seeking.

It’s important that this group is contained now while they are relatively smaller than they have the potential to be if their following continues to grow like it’s been. We are facing a world war whether we want to believe so or not. It’s time to fight back.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
