There are thousands of shows on TV right now, but none of them come close to comparing to "One Tree Hill." They don't teach the same lessons, have unrealistic problems, and come on, the cast? No one has a stronger or better looking cast than "One Tree Hill." We the people want more shows like "One Tree Hill." We need more shows like "One Tree Hill."
"One Tree Hill" had one of the best leading ladies, Brooke Davis. Brooke was a strong, confident character. She had her ups and she had her downs, but she was the character we all aspired to be. She taught us lesson after lesson like:
Anorexia is a disease, not a fashion statement.
You have to love yourself before you love others.
Your past does not define your future.
You have to be your own savior sometimes.
Also with Karen and Lucas having normal mother-son problems like lying and groundings. But they also had great heart to hearts that all kids can relate too.
We also learned that the bad guy won't always be the bad guy. Nathan Scott was a rebel teen who did what he want and got what he wanted. He thought no one could stop him until he met Haley, the girl who changed him. By the end of the show, he was a great father and husband who owned up to his mistakes.
Also, they had a crazy nanny?
And a crazy stalker? Realistic enough.
"One Tree Hill" also taught lessons to their viewers that most shows don't even touch upon now. We learned that actions have consequences and sometimes you can't backpedal in life and take those actions back. Dan lived in his personal hell after shooting Keith - he never ran away from those consequences until the day he died. But we also learned that you can always forgive, no matter what the person did. Keith's ghost forgave Dan for killing him and Brooke forgave Lucas for cheating on her... twice. We can all learn to forgive at some time in our life.
Peyton taught us that people always leave. Sometimes they come back and sometimes they don't, but it's for the best in the end. If people who mean a lot to you leave, then they aren't good enough for you. You get up, fight for yourself, and be the person you need.
