There’s always going to be that one week that literally kicks you in the ass and has you crying from stress by the end of it. But it’s up to you to turn that around and finish off the week right! Here are 7 ways to treat yourself after a rough week!

1. Take a bath

I used to think baths were overrated, but girl, was I wrong. Nothing screams comfort more than a bath filled with soapy bubbles and your favorite playlist playing right next to you. Pour yourself some wine and let yourself shine as you soak up those bubbles.

2. Face mask

Baths are amazing, yes. But face masks take me to a whole different level. Sitting down and watching some Netflix while you have a cooling face mask on has to be one of the most relaxing things for me to do. Take it from someone who doesn’t get to relax much. Face masks might be the key to serenity.

3. Paint your nails

I’ve never been the best when it comes to painting my nails, but practice makes perfect. After finally making it look good, I have to say, seeing a freshly painted set of nails is so satisfying. But who says you have to do it at home? If you’re not breaking the bank, treat yourself and get that manicure, girl. You deserve it.

4. Comfort food

Do I need to say more?

5. Watch your favorite movie

Whether it’s a sappy romance or a horror film, put on your favorite movie. Nothing puts you in a better mood than watching your favorite movie. If I had a for all of the times “School of Rock” has lifted my spirits,

6. Buy yourself something nice

It’s not often that you get to treat yourself, so why not splurge a little? Buying yourself that outfit you’ve been dying to get is such a rewarding feeling. You deserve all the rewards.

7. Sigh in relief that this week is over

Here’s something to put your mind at ease: THE WEEK IS FINALLY OVER. That’s right! You can finally go crazy and cuddle up in your bed with your favorite blanket just like you’ve been dying to do since you woke up at 7 a.m. Eat that take out, and enjoy every minute of it because nothing is better than “you” time.

You can’t go wrong with treating yourself. You’re happy in the end, and who doesn’t like a happy you? Even if you don’t get a crazy amount of opportunities to relax, enjoy the moments where you do. It’s important to take care of yourself, and especially pamper yourself from time to time. Never lose sight of your worth, and how worth it is to have some alone time.

We all deserve a lil' something once in a while.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
