Lately, I have been having weeks that leave me feeling exhausted and drained by the end of them. I feel like I just want to crawl into bed and never emerge. So, here are 12 ideas to help destress and recharge at the end of the week.

1. Binge watch a TV series

Just spend hours in front of the screen. There's nothing wrong with it.

2. Drink some tea

Tea helps calm your body down and relax after a long week of work and school.

3. Cozy up in some blankets and read a book

Forget the real world. Take some time to lose yourself in a made up one.

4. Take a long nap

Sleep the stress away. At least for those few hours, you won't have to think about anything.

5. Go out to dinner with your family

Sometimes, all you need is to just be surrounded by family.

6. Have a movie night with your friends

There's nothing better than the company of friends and a good movie.

7. Write about all you accomplished that week

It can be really therapeutic to write things down and acknowledge all that you finished in a long week.

8. Call someone you haven't heard from in a while

Their voice might be exactly what you need to hear.

9. Take a long walk

Take some time to enjoy all the beauty in the world.

10. Take some deep breaths and remember how capable you are

It's important to recognize how hard you worked and to remind yourself that there is nothing you can't do if you put your mind to it.

11. Binge eat ice cream

If you feel drained, go ahead and fill yourself up with some ice cream. No one will judge you.

12. Drink a whole bottle of wine

If all else fails, just get drunk and forget about the week.

And never forget that you will survive it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
