I find myself saying time and time again how I wish I could somehow be more productive with my time. I would love to be the kind of person who brags about how much they got done in one day. I have found that the best way to do that is to start your day off right.

1. Wake up early.

I love my sleep very much, but when I sleep too late or when I do not leave myself enough time to get ready in the morning I feel unproductive and rushed. Waking up earlier gives you time to ease into the day and leaves room for all the stuff that normally there is no time for.

2. Make your bed.

Simple things like making your bad will automatically make you feel more successful throughout your day. I know that when I get to make my bed those are the mornings I was not frantically rushing to class but had the extra time to do even the little things.

3. Eat breakfast.

I don't mean an on the go, I'm about to be late breakfast, but a real breakfast. Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day but it is also an easy one to skip especially if you have a busy life. There is always time to sit down and have a nice breakfast this just might mean getting up a little earlier.

4. Have a quiet time.

This can be different for everyone. This is a great time to reflect on your day and think about what you need to get done. You might find it relaxing to write, read your favorite book, or read an article, For me, I like to read my bible or do a devotional. It puts me in the right mindset and makes me more positive throughout the day. I also find it productive write in my planner or bullet journal first thing in the morning.

5. Go to sleep earlier.

The hardest thing about getting up in the morning for me is that I'm so tired. I do not go to bed at a good time and that prevents me from starting my next day on the right track. It is impossible to wake up early if you just went to sleep 3 hours before. Getting the right amount of sleep is vital and will make the next day so much better.

6. Plan the night before.

Your morning routine will feel so much easier when you already have everything laid out for you in advance. It is one less thing you have to worry about and saves a lot of time.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
