When it comes to school and work, it seems unlikely to have time for anything like spending time with friend because you live far away from them, have different classes, and live in different dorm buildings.

However, there is one thing you can do. Make time. Some people complain about not having time for anything because they're busy. There is no excuse to not have a social life, whether anyone is busy or not. There are ways to make time for your friends.

1. Take lots of pictures

They don't have to be just selfies. Take any photo and create lots of memories. It's very important to keep pictures.

2. Call them

There's always time to talk on the phone to have random conversations like what happened in class or a new doughnut store you're interested in going to. Doesn't have to be a huge conversation.

3. Go on an adventure

Adventures fill souls and friendships.

4. Make use of your mealtime

Order dinner together or grab lunch between classes or both.

5. Study together

Yes, it's important to spend time with your friends and study, however, studying together won't be a bad idea.

6. Send them postcards or thinking of you

It may no longer be the 1950s, but it doesn't matter. Send postcards or letters. We all love receiving mail, especially from our friends. They last longer than texts in phone storage. You can keep your postcards and letters in a box. If you have a bad day and need cheering up, open your box and read your postcards.

7. Hang out after class

Talk about your day, dance it out, and laugh about certain things.

8. Text about little things

Ask how they're doing, if they need to vent, and be there for them.

9. Put it on the calendar

Calendars are important to have, in order to keep track of when to spend time with your friends, so you don't forget about them. This is why a calendar exists!

10. Go to the gym together

MOTIVATE EACH OTHER!

11. Do chores together

You both can help each other out and catch up on our news while doing chores together.

12. Use any occasion as an excuse to get together

It doesn't matter whether you're going to an opera, fast food restaurant, or skydiving together. The friends you spend time with matter the most.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
