Feeling excited, yet anxious about finals? Worried about whether or not you are going to survive the end of the semester? It's okay...I feel your pain and we are in the same boat. Finals are stressful but along the way, it's important to have time for yourself. Here are 5 ways to get prepared and relax during Finals week!

1.) Exercise

Want to get fit and relieve any thoughts that are lingering in the back of your mind? Take into consideration by going to the gym with a friend or by yourself to get yourself pumped! The gym may seem far away from a distance, but if you mind your mind to it you can do it!

2.) Sit By A Pond or Body of Water

If you ever had a rough day where things didn't go your way or your world is turning chaotic, I recommend finding a place full of nature and serenity. Going to a quiet place where you see the ducks or geese, and breathing in the fresh breeze allows you to decompress your thoughts.

3.) Treat Yourself!!

Have you been living in the library for hours or studying non-stop?!! Feel like your brain is fried and need a break from everything!! There is nothing wrong with going to the mall or your favorite place and treating yourself to a special gift!!

***Remember work hard, play hard!***

4.) Talk with a close friend or family

Finals can be an emotional roller coaster, full of tears and anxiety where you find yourself alone at times. However, if you have a great amount of support from family or friends, they will be with you until the end!

5.) Listen to Music or Motivational Videos

Ever had so many thoughts all at once that it made you overwhelm? Want a break from everyone and what everyone is saying? It's okay to plug in your headphones or in the car with your friends and jam out to music while going on an adventure!!

Best of wishes for anyone about to start finals or doing finals! Take it day by day and don't sweat the small stuff.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
