Sometimes life just gets stressful, especially for college students at this time with finals hitting us hard, but that doesn't mean you should compromise your well-being. Here are some ways to destress from whatever struggles you may face.
1. Make some hot tea
It relaxes the mind and warms the soul.
2. Take a walk
Get up on your feet and take in some fresh air.
3. Take a warm shower
Steam and good-smelling soaps will make your body feel refreshed.
4. Listen to music
Preferably some upbeat tunes, such as Christmas music to get in the spirit.
5. Watch some cute animal videos
Who doesn’t crack a smile at baby animals doing goofy things?
6. Bake some cookies
There’s nothing like a warm, fresh cookie to feed the soul.
7. Go out to eat with friends
Take a break from studying to enjoy a nice meal and have some fun.
8. Do some yoga or stretching
If you’ve been sitting all day, stretching definitely releases tension in the body.
9. Read something other than school notes
Whether it’s a news article, a magazine, or even an Instagram caption – you can only focus on school work for so long.
10. Light a candle
The smell of a nice candle can help you stay relaxed and focused (just don’t set your notes on fire).
11. Break out a coloring book
You might laugh, but many people find coloring a great way to release stress.
