8 Ways College Is VERY Different From High School
Pexel

Moving away to college is a huge change. There's no doubt about that. Coming into college, I really didn't think of all of the little changes that would come along with the bigger one. Boy, was I wrong. Here are eigth ways college is completely different than high school, told by Twitter.

1. Teachers

Your teachers in high school most likely nagged you and scolded you, saying they were preparing you for college. You went in nervous. Then you got here and realized the teachers are much more chill than you ever imagined.

2. Money

High school kids might be watching their spending, but college kids are broke.

3. Workload

In high school having two tests on one day was killer. In college, the average day includes a 15-page essay, two exams, and a project.

4. Books

You will miss the days of getting every textbook handed to you, and handing it back on the last day, cost-free. Welcome to college where your bookstore total is $450.

5. Sleep

You won't.

6. Class Times

In high school, a 9 AM class is so do-able. In college, it is so not.

7. Going Out

Your life goes from never even thinking about going out on a weekday, to Thursday (and Tuesday, and maybe Wednesday) basically becoming part of the weekend.

8. Looking Decent

If you think you're going to wake up an hour early to get ready ever again, you're wrong.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
