Its flu season and it has been going around and spreading like a wildfire. There are many ways to prevent the flu and some of them I think people tend to over look. Also, people tend to not follow simple things when it comes to flu season.

1. Flu Shot

A lot of places offer flu shots but this is one of the more effective ways to not get the flu. If you get the flu even after a flu shot then it may have been either different strain of the flu or evolved strain.

2. Washing your hands

Simplest thing to do if you want to prevent the flu. Washing your hands after you use the restroom will decrease the chance of you getting the flu.

3. Cover your mouth

When you yawn, sneeze, cough, etc.. you should always cover your mouth to keep those around you from coming into contact with your germs. Sick or not it will help. Because if you are sick and you don't cover your mouth there is good chance you will get someone sick

4.Germ X

When you are unable to wash your hands make sure you have or know where some germ x is and use it. Even if you already washed your hands use germ x as a back up. Have some at work as well.

5. Careful with money

This is also plays in with germ x. Be careful when handling money because you don't know where it and been or anything. Always, use germ x after handling money of any sort.

6. Stay home when told

If you feel a fever coming on either stay home or go see a doctor. You don't need to be around others who feel fine. Because you don't want them getting sick as well.

A lot of people don't do this because they don't ever feel the need to but it does help fight the flu.

7. Go to the doctor

The doctor is the best thing to do if you like you are sick or you are getting sicks. This way you can tell for sure and then get meds to fight off the flu.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
