"High School Musical" was and still is (debatably) one of the greatest Disney Channel Original Movies of all time. It had the traction to spawn two sequels and an underappreciated spin-off movie.

Even if you weren't that big of a fan back in the day, you still knew about it.

Every girl ranging from the ages of 8 to 12-years-old was in love with the concept, but looking back on it now, was it really as great as we thought it was?

1. Zac Efron’s hair was REALLY bad.

Honestly, who thought this look was a good idea? Flat ironing AND highlights did not do this boy justice. I’m not quite sure how this movie even made him a heartthrob for girls aged 8 to 12-years-old.

2. Troy is kind of a jerk.

I get it, Troy has a reputation to uphold as resident basketball captain, but even from the moment that he and Gabriella reconnect after she transfers to East High is not cool. In their first interaction, he whispers to her because god forbid his basketball friends find out that he sings.

3. All of the acting was actually terrible.

There’s just something about the way Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens talk in this movie that feels so fake and forced. All of their reactions are so over the top in some moments.

4. I still know all of the songs, but some of them just aren’t that great.

There are some songs that are classics, but other songs like "When There Was Me and You"are just… not great. It’s strange and the lyrics are kind of weird given the placement in the movie and the circumstances of the plot.

5. The callbacks shouldn’t have even been that big of a deal.

I understand how going up against Sharpay and Ryan was a big deal for Troy and Gabriella and the entire body of East High, but the movie portrays this as if it were actually the winter musical.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
