I dont know about you, but my choice for a finals studying netflix break is always to turn on Grey’s Anatomy. I get really sucked into the episode every time and i end up watching 5 episodes in a row, but that’s not a bad thing. Here’s what some valuable ice lessons I have taken from hours of watching Grey’s and applied it to finals week.
- It relieves stress
Well the fact that your sitting in bed instead of the library relieves stress, but depending on which episode you watch, you might not be so relaxed. Any fan of the show will tell you that each episode has you on the edge of your seat or crying. That beats studying for hours on end.
2. Its a reminder that it could be worse
You could be one of the trauma patients or another sick patient at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. So watching Grey’s makes you reflect on how you would take finals week over a mass trauma accident anytime.
3. It inspires you to work hard
If all of the surgeons can get through their internships, residency, and other crazy things that go on in that hospital, then you can get through a day of studying and ace that multiple choice final exam. And when you finish your test you get to go home and watch Grey’s as much as you want as a reward.
4. It makes you realize that friends are all that matters
Meredith Grey goes through a lot of stress and pressure in her job (just like us college students are right now) but she still wakes up everyday and save lives. Why? Because she has Christina for support. Now take a break form studying and watch some Grey’s with your person.
