Any time you talk about Netflix with someone, they ALWAYS give you a show suggestion. If you’re like me, you already have seven shows you’re “watching” but keep adding more shows to your list, hoping one day you’ll watch them all. However, sometimes there's a show that breaks this rule, and you have to stay awake for three days straight to finish the series. These five shows below will have you saying YES when Netflix asks, “Are you still watching?”

1. Stranger Things

This Netflix Original is filled with mystery, supernatural forces, and 80’s nostalgia. ALSO, the cast is INCREDIBLE. The show begins with the disappearance of Will Byers from the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. Will’s friends, family, and the police chief work together to find him and discover some dark secrets and supernatural forces along the way. There are currently two seasons on Netflix, with season three in the works.

2. Black Mirror

Black Mirror is a British television series, and each episode is a new story with its own characters and plot. This show primarily focuses on the effects of human nature and new technology, and the consequences to come if society isn’t careful. There are four seasons on Netflix.

3. The 100

This CW series is based on the book “The 100” by Kass Morgan. After a nuclear war on earth, all humanity is presumed dead, except survivors living in space. Leaders of the group send 100 prisoners to Earth to see if it’s habitable. There are four seasons on Netflix, with season five is in the works.

4. Riverdale

Riverdale is a small town shaken by the death of a high school student. The characters, based off of Archie Comics, come together to find the killer, and uncover dangerous secrets along the way. Season one is on Netflix, with season two currently playing on the CW.

5. Bloodline

This Netflix Original Series follows the Rayburns, a Florida family of six who own a successful seaside hotel. The oldest sibling, the black sheep of the family, returns for the 45th anniversary, and is anything but welcome. The Rayburn siblings must keep the dark secrets about the family’s past buried while deciding their brother’s role in the family. All three seasons are currently on Netflix.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
