We took a family vacation to Washington D.C. this summer. We were there for a whole week, but I still felt like there was so much left to take in and explore. We can all recognize the nation's most prized buildings like the White House, Lincoln Memorial, and Capitol Building to name a few. However, it isn't until you are standing at the base of the Washington Monument or President Lincoln's feet that you realize the true beauty these places hold. You're able to understand that these places are more than just structures in our nation's capital instead they represent our nation's history. We walked all through the National Mall, visited some of the Smithsonian Museums, and the National Botanic Gardens. These pictures hold memories of my family and this trip that I am going treasure forever.
