The end of the semester is finally in sight! The finals week hurdle is the last obstacle in our paths, and then we're free to do everything we've dreamt about for the last 4 months! Here are 4 things I want to do when school is over, and what will actually happen.
1. Explore Birmingham
For as long as I've been living in Alabama, I've only spent a handful of hours in Birmingham, usually to go to the original 2nd &Charles (you all already know about my love for 2nd & Charles.) I want to spend a day in Birmingham exploring, trying new restaurants, visiting the McWane Science Center and the Birmingham History Center, and, yes, spending more money at 2nd & Charles.
2. Finish reading all the books on my list
Okay, so my reading list is an ever-growing monster that will never end, but this semester's been so busy that I haven't gotten to finish more than a handful of books. All I want is to sit in a comfy chair with a cup of coffee and a pile of books and no impending deadlines to bother me.
3. Have a Lord of the Rings marathon
So I just discovered a week ago that my perfectly nerdy fiance is not so perfect...he's only seen the Hobbit movies! I must right this wrong for the sake of our future marriage!
4. Go to Rock City
Every year around Christmas, Rock City puts up The Enchanted Garden of Lights, and I haven't been in so long I hardly remember it. With food, music, and beautiful lights, Rock City is absolutely magical this time of year.
