A little motivation each and every day never hurts, no matter what stage of life we are in. Each new day brings new emotions, opportunities, obstacles, gifts, friendships, etc.. We never really know what to expect even if we try to plan everything down to the minute. Some days go by quickly and smoothly while others seem to drag out and are filled with mistakes. However your day goes, don't forget to take a step back and be thankful you got to live another day even if it was a difficult one. Do not spend too much time dwelling on the past. Learn from it and move forward. Do not stress over the things that may have occurred that you can not change now. Be hopeful tomorrow will be better and always try your best.
"There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, there are no limits." — Michael Phelps
"Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can." — Arthur Ashe
Everyone says things they should not say and does things that they should not do. You are going to say and do things that will embarrass you and make people mad at you. You will say and do things that you may not be proud of or that you will rethink all day long. None of that really matters though. If we all sat around thinking and reminding ourselves of every time we did something that we probably should not have, then we would spend our entire lives focusing on things that in the long run really do not matter. That negativity will not help you grow as a person. Whether you walk into your 8 a.m. class late, write the wrong answer to a question or slip and fall in the hallway, it does not matter. Focus on the way you can impact the lives of others. That is how they will remember you.
"Be patient with yourself. Self-growth is tender; it’s holy ground. There’s no greater investment." — Stephen Covey
"Make someone feel something and you will never be forgotten." — Charlotte Eriksson
People associate memories of you with the feelings they had during an encounter or interaction with you. By paying more attention to how you affect others, you will become better. Our impact determines how people will remember us. Do you want that to be negative or positive?
"“Think of yourself as a brand. You need to be remembered. What will they remember you for? What defines you? If you have it in you, do something that defines you. Invent something, develop a unique skill, get noticed for something — it creates a talking point.” — Chris Arnold
