At long last, AMC's highly anticipated (and highest rated) television series is back for season seven. The Walking Dead has come a long way from being a comic book novel written and created by Robert Kirkman. In the conclusion of season six, we saw the appearance of terrifying new villain Negan that put his predecessor, "The Governor" to shame. Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) and the gang watched as Negan mercilessly beat a major, yet still unknown character in the head with a bat. Who is the unlucky person you may ask? You'll just have to wait for the premiere Sunday night at 9pm ET/PT.
From what sources have revealed, it appears as there may be not one, but TWO people whose lives are taken at the hands of Negan's bat, Lucille. In addition, as expected, there will be more violence against the undead, as per TWD tradition, but this is only the tip of the iceberg. Fans all over are conspiring as to who these two may be, but only time will tell.
The new season's first episode, titled "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be" takes its name from the season one finale episode, where Dr. Jenner told Rick that he'll regret the day he let the group leave the Center for Disease Control (foreshadowing perhaps?). With that being said, many of the fans, affectionately known as "Walkers" will have to hold on to their seats because like seasons before, season seven is surely not here to disappoint...or is it?
