The weird thing about you being at different colleges than your friends is that everyone has a different week for spring break. If you're lucky, all your friends that attend different colleges will have it the same week as you. But if you're unlucky, like me, your spring break is just a hair later than everyone else's.

But the week before you are off, while everyone else is off, the anticipation is grand. Everyone on campus is antsy and creates big hype for spring break, kinda like how Barney makes big hype for basically anything that happens in his life. So, in lieu of having writer's block this week, here is a silly article on how Barney Stinson captivates the anticipation for spring break.

1. Telling everyone your spring break plans

'Cause even if you're just going to be chilling like a villain at home, that's still pretty lit.

2. Sitting in class thinking about your spring break plans

Then you realize you are daydreaming and totally missed an important part of your lecture that will be on your exam on the Friday before spring break.

3. Not having any assignments due the week before break, but looking at your homework load after the break

All you want is a week to chillax and not think about school; however, that 3,000-word essay is due the day after you return from break.

4. But you created the outline for your essay before the break, so you know you totally worked for the break

We all know that outlines, even just making a title page, gains you the rights to take a break because they really take a lot out of you to complete.

5. What everyone thinks when a professor assigns a quiz the day before break

Professor will do anything to keep students coming to class the day before break because they know you will ditch either way. However, we all just want to make headway on our amazing plans of road trips, flights, or even stay-cations.

6. When plans get changed last minute because that is life

We all have that one friend who just loves to cancel or change their minds last minute. And we all have a special place in our hearts for that one special friend.

7. The look you give to the calendar date of the first day of break

You do this too, right? Oh, you don't. Yeah. Me either...

8. Doing last-minute touch-ups to make your body spring break ready

'Cause we all know you're going to want to bougiest of all pics of yourself for your Instagram posts to make everyone jealous. Even though you are most likely going back home, but no one needs to know that.

9. Finishing your last Friday lecture and knowing you are free

The gif says it all.

10. Enjoying your break because you've earned it

I mean this is a spring break article, so I had to include Lonely Island. So enjoy! Have a fun, safe, and savage break!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
