I love Christmas, because Christmas is great.

Christmas is coming. It is near. Very, very near - only twenty or so days until the best day of the year finally arrives. How does this feel for us Christmas fanatics? Let me tell you.

1. When it is the 26th of December so you officially have one year until next Christmas.

This is probably the hardest part of loving Christmas more than the average human because you just experienced your favorite day of the year, and now it is gone.

2. When it is the first day of June.

Halfway there. We are so close I can smell Christmas coming. We have six more months, but it is so much closer than it was, and it truly is so wonderful.

3. Thanksgiving Day.

Tomorrow we get to shop for presents! There will be Christmas music playing in the background, and everyone will be getting the best gift of all time, because I have been thinking about it for a year.

4. Black Friday.

Not only is today the day that you shop for everyone's gifts, but also no one can say, "it's not even Thanksgiving, you shouldn't be listening to Christmas music." Guess what - I can do whatever I want.

5. December 1st.

It is officially Christmas time. You can no longer say anything about my Santa sweater, because it is December and we have 24 days until Christmas. Today is a great day, and I have zero complaints. Also, I will be rolling all of my windows down and jamming to Christmas music, because as Buddy the Elf says, "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear."

6. Christmas Eve.

Tonight is the night. Santa Claus is coming to town and tomorrow is the greatest day of the year!

7. Christmas Day.

It's here, and it's a great day. It is the best day ever, and it really will be the happiest day of my life, because it always is! I do not apologize for my excessive amounts of smiling or my random yelling "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Everyone needs to know that this is the best holiday and today is the best day.

8. And now we are back where we started.

The 26th of December. You are my most dreaded day. I am not trying to say that I hate you, but I am not going to say that I don't. I am sorry, you're just not a good day.

I truly hope everyone has the most amazing Christmas. I know we are all stressed because this season is stressful, but take time and just celebrate and spend time with your family. It is the BEST time of year!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
