It's that time of the year again, the Victoria Secret Fashion Show is closing in. Get ready for a night filled with models, performances, and a whole lot of lingerie. Every time the fashion show comes around twitter starts to erupt in chaos with extreme liberals getting butthurt over not being a supermodel.
The new thing this year is that Victora Secret doesn't allow transgender women or overweight women to be in their fashion shows. I have a couple thing to say about this. First of all, okay if we let everyone who wanted to play basketball, play in the NBA then we wouldn't have an NBA. If we let every aspiring track star run in the Olympics, we wouldn't have an Olympics.
So why are you trying to put every woman in Victoria Secret's runway show?
Let me tell you, the women that are models are born looking like that. Who are you to shame them for being tall, fit, and beautiful? It's the same thing as body shaming someone for being fat, so why do you get to body shame them for being models? It's a huge double standard. Furthermore, those girls work like hell to have bodies that toned. That means perfect diets and insane workouts. They didn't wake up one morning with perfect abs.
I'd like to challenge you to think for a second about how ignorant it is to say that Victoria Secret doesn't "let" transgender or fat women in their runway shows. Being obese isn't healthy, what kind of company wants to promote unhealthy habits to sell lingerie. Also, that's always been Victoria Secret's brand, to have beautiful models in beautiful underwear. Should every company all of the sudden change their brand image to not hurt your ego?
The sensitivity to all of this is just insane. Please calm down. Those girls have bodies that only the 1% has. Let them be beautiful and let Victoria Secret be Victoria Secret.
Tune into the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, all the way from New York, on December 2 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, 9 p.m. CT.
