Value Of Life

Being pro-life means standing up for the truth and the innocent.

Value Of Life

This can be considered one of the most important topics to discuss. To me this is not fighting for a cause, I am not supporting some type of organization (though there are pro-life organizations that I support), being pro-life means that I am fighting for the truth. It is a purpose to support the innocent. People do not like talking about it, but it is necessary. Yes I am a guy and I know the first argument "It is a women's body why do you get to decide what they do with it?" Because it is not the women's body that I am worried about in this situation. Abortion is the epicenter to the moral deprivation of society. It is a fundamental attack on the family and on truth. Pro-choicers, politicians, activists, all scream that it is the "right" of the mother to choose. No one, and I mean no one, has the right to dehumanize a life. Who are you to decide the value of a human life? The innocent child has intrinsic value and no one has the right to decide its worth. "Well what about about rape or incest?" That maybe accounts for 1% of all abortions, but to you the kid is just out of luck if that happens? This still comes down to the question, do you think human life has value?

I believe that I do not need the bible to defend my position on being pro-life, so let's go through some facts about the developmental stages.

Day one: it has been concluded that at the moment of conception life begins, it has its own set of DNA, so still no value?

16-18 days in: the child's heart starts to beat with its own blood, still no?

28 days: eyes and ears form.

42-45 days: brain waves can be detected and the baby starts to move, no value? I have not even made it to where it starts becoming illegal in some states to abort a child.

8-10 weeks: every organ is now present, and the baby is sensitive to touch. Let's keep going.

11 weeks: the baby can smile, that's absolutely amazing honestly.

18-20 weeks: the baby can hear the mother's heartbeat and can be felt by the mother. At this point 20 weeks is deem prohibited in most states, yet the corrupt organization that is Planned Parenthood wants to stop the bans and any legalization made to protect the mother and child. For those who still are in favor, I am going to keep going.

20-26 weeks: the child can now survive outside the womb, yet so many activists and Planned Parenthood believe it is just dandy to end the child's life here. Let's move on though.

27-32 weeks: the baby can recognize the mother's voice.

33+ weeks: these are the weeks where pregnancy may occur.

I did not go over everything but certain parts I found interesting.

Now the unconstitutional decision that is Roe v. Wade allows for abortion and the democratic nominee, Hillary, supports partial birth abortion which is abortion up to the point of birth. The process is gruesome and sickening. You can go here for more.

I can not sit back and idly watch. I am at a loss of words many times. Abortion is a morally corrupt decision. In this life there are objective truths and yet many choose to ignore them. Matt Walsh writes brilliantly on why men need to be involved in this article. Ben Shapiro speaks on it as well here. Life matters, and no one has the right to decide the value of a human life.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
