Valentine smalentine, am I right? Who needs boys when you have a bottle of Sangria and your best girlfriends? Valentine's day can be awesome if you're in a relationship, but guess what, it doesn't have to be a day you dread if you don't have a significant other to share it with. Let's redefine Cupid's love day as a day for you and your gal pals!

Here are a few fun tips to have the best Galentine's Day!

1. Plan a fancy dinner.

Today is the perfect day to break out your favorite pair of heels and your best dress to wine and dine with your besties. Who cares if no one is picking up the check for you at the end of the night, it never hurts to treat yourself every once in a while, especially if it means looking drop dead gorgeous with all of your friends.

2. Have a "no boys allowed" rule in place for the next 24 hours.

Block their numbers and gossip about something else. Spend this day taking the time to really enjoy your company with your friends. With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we can lose sight of what's most important. It will do everyone some good to cleanse themselves of boy drama for just one day and focus on their best friends.

3. Make a day of it.

If you're someone who thinks they're going to sulk about not being in a relationship on Valentine's day then keep yourself busy! Whether it's retail shopping, going to the park, or binge-watching movies, book the entire day for just you and your girls! Every girl posse has that one activity they love doing together, for me and my friends it's always going to TJ Maxx and Target, we just can't get enough.

4. Have a DIY spa day.

Look up recipes for face masks and make your own. Give each other facials and paint each other's fingernails. There's nothing more relaxing than homemade skin care in the comfort of your own home. Plus you're not spending any money and you don't have to worry about walking around in a robe in front of strangers.

5. Replace your rom-coms with action movies.

Chances are if a bunch of single girls are watching "The Notebook" or "The Vow" then you're all probably in your feelings about not being in a relationship. But thankfully there's nothing like I Am Legend and Taken to kill the mood.

Action movies are great entertainment and are sure to erase any thoughts of "I wish I had that with someone," mostly because no one has a post-apocalyptic fantasy about vampire-like creatures. At least I'd hope not.
