You have officially graduated high school and have just a few weeks left of summer until you have to move into your dorm for the first time! If you are anything like I was, you probably have a mix of emotions as move-in day approaches. Stores have so many advertisements out now for back to school. As you begin your shopping for your dorm room, you probably are unsure of what to exactly get. Do not stress out or worry because here is the ultimate list that will make your shopping a lot easier!

1. Bedding:

- Twin XL sheets (2 sets), you should have 2 sets so that you can change your sheets frequently and most of the beds in dorms are Twin XL rather than twin. So make sure you get twin XL!

- Twin XL comforter

- Pillow cases, it is always a good idea to have more than one pillow on your bed!

- Your favorite blanket or stuffed animal. Yes you might be in college, but this will help to reduce you from feeling homesick.

- Backrest pillow. This will become your best friend! You can sit in bed while studying without having terrible back pain thanks to this wonderful pillow!

2. Bathroom/Toiletries/ Cleaning: These are something that you should stock up on!

-Shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, body wash, soap, and hand soap

- Razors/ shaving cream

- Shower caddy/shower shoes (depending on what kind of shower you have)

- Perfumes, colognes, lotions

- Straightener, hair dryer, curling iron

- Air freshener

- Small garbage can

- Medications

- Towels/wash cloths

- Lysol wipes, duster, vacuum

3. Desk Supplies:

- Drawer organizers

- Agenda

- Folders/binders

- Calendar (Desk and hanging)

- Pens

- Pencils

- Highlighters

- Post Its

- Paper/notebooks

- Stapler/staples

- Tape

- Paper clips, binder clips, tacks

- Ruler

- Calculator

4. Lights / Lamps:

- Desk lamp

- Night light

- Flashlight

- Light bulbs

5. Clothes / Closet:

- Hangers (LOTS)

- Storage containers for clothes

- Rain jacket, rain boots, umbrella

- Hamper / laundry basket

- Fabric softener

- Sneakers

- Dress clothes

- Casual clothes

- Athletic clothes

- Snow boots, winter jacket, hats, gloves, scarves

- Over the door mirror

6. Extras:

- Power strips

- Small and large garbage can (Bags too!)

- Area rug

- TV and cable cord

- First Aid kit

- Cough drops

- Plates, cups, silverware

- Napkins / paper towels

- Duffle bag

7. Decorations:

- Command hooks

- Pictures / frames

- Dry erase / bulletin board

- Posters

- Holiday décor
