On April 14th this Saturday the UFC will be in Glendale, Arizona at the Gila River Arena as Lightweights collide in a Main Event that is destined to make jaws drop as #5 ranked Lightweight Dustin Poirier faces #6 ranked Justin Gaethe. In the Co-Main Event, it was originally scheduled for Matt Brown to take on #12 ranked Welterweight Carlos Condit.

But unfortunately, Brown suffered from an ACL tear and has been replaced by "Cowboy" Alex Oliveria. On the Undercard, Marvin Vettori faces fellow Middleweight Isreal Adesanya in what is expected to be a really good fight. #10 ranked Cortney Casey meets #7 ranked Michelle Waterson in the Woman's Strawweight. And In the Middleweight Division, Tim Boetsch will take on Antonio Carlos Junior.

We Last saw Justin Gaethe at UFC 218 where he was defeated by Eddie Alvarez via KO in the 3rd round of a fantastic fight. Justin is walking into this fight with a record of 18 wins and 1 Loss, a win for him can easily break him into the top 5 rankings of the Lightweight Divison and also set up for a title contention. Dustin Poirer was last seen at UFC Fight Night 120 when he defeated Anthony "Showtime" Pettis by Submission in the 3rd round with a Body Triangle. A win for Dustin can potentially set him up for a rematch with Eddie Alvarez after the controversial outcome of their first fight.

We last saw Carlos Condit return to the octagon after over a year at UFC 219 when he faced and was defeated by Neil Magny via unanimous decision. Carlos is on a 3 fight losing streak in the UFC and a win over Cowboy Oliveria can break the streak and put him back on the right path to breaking into the Top 10 rankings of the Welterweight division. Cowboy is also coming off of a loss as of recent. He faced Yancy Medieros at and lost via TKO in the 3rd round. A win over Carlos for Cowboy can really help him shake off his recent loss and make a statement.

Marvin Vettori is coming off of a Draw to Omari Akhmedov at UFC 219, He is ready to shut down the rising star that is Isreal Adesanya in a very impressive way. Marvin is currently 12-3 in his mix martial arts career. Isreal is coming off of a TKO victory over Rob Wilkinson and has no intentions of coming up short this weekend. A win for him can really let the rest of the division know he is there and to be on the lookout.

Michelle Waterson returns to the octagon to take on Cortney Casey, Michelle is coming off of a unanimous decision to Tecia Torres. She is currently on a 2 fight losing streak and is looking to really turn it around. She is also looking to get back on track to potentially challenging for the title. We last saw Cortney at UFC 218 were she lost via Split Decision to Felicia Herrig, she is also looking to turn it around and get an impressive victory over Michelle to leapfrog her in the rankings.

Antonio Carlos Jr is currently on a 4 fight win streak and is looking to improve upon his win streak with a victory over Tim Boetsch. He was last seen at UFC Fight Night 119 were he defeated Jack Marshall by Submission in the 1st round. Tim Boetsch is coming off of a TKO victory over Johny Hendricks at UFC Fight Night 112. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
