On February 10th the UFC returns to the country of Australia but makes its first appearance in Perth, Australia, as #1 ranked middleweight Yoel Romero meets the former Middleweight Champion #2 Ranked Luke Rockhold in the Main Event for the Interim-Championship. In the Co-Main event, Heavyweights square off as #5 ranked Mark Hunt faces #9 ranked Curtis Blaydes.

Also in the Heavyweight Division Tai Tuivasa takes on Cyril Asker. Then more Middleweights clash as Jake Matthews fights Li Jingilang. And to open the Main Card Light-Heavyweight prospects face off as #13 Ranked Tyson Pedro meets Saparbek Safarov.

We last saw Yoel Romero “The Soldier Of God” at UFC 213 where he lost to Robert Whittaker by unanimous decision for the Interim title. It was an explosive fight as Yoel did some pretty good damage to Roberts' leg as he compromised it early in the fight.

But he did not do enough damage in the fight to maintain the judge's scorecards as Robert continued to do what he could to win the fight with the injury to his leg.

The original Main-Event bout at UFC 221 was the Current UFC Middleweight Champ Robert Whittaker defending his belt against Luke Rockhold but Robert pulled out due to a serious Staph infection that was in his stomach. The infection would also be mistreated which lead to the infection being so serious it had Robert in Serious Condition after it began to eat away at his organs.

As Of January 20th Robert is back in training and is recovering successfully. But due to the severity of the infection, there was no way he would be ready to defend his title. Yoel was originally supposed to face David Branch at UFC on Fox 28 on February 24th but the fight was scrapped because of an unknown injury.

Yoel has now been granted another opportunity at a chance at the UFC Interim-Title as he was chosen to replace Robert in the main event against Luke Rockhold. In his last 9 fights, Yoel has 8 victories and 1 loss which that loss is from the current champ. A win for Yoel would immediately set him up for a rematch with Robert Whittaker to unify the Interim and middleweight belts.

We last saw Luke Rockhold at UFC Fight Night 116 on September 16th, 2017 where he dominated David Branch in the second round with brutal ground and pound to earn the victory. Luke hopes to dominate Yoel and get a shot at the belt. He feels the division is his and he is ready to reclaim what was his before he lost the belt to Michael Bisping.

A win for both of these top middleweight contenders can set them up for a match with Whittaker when he is fully ready to return to the octagon. How does Whittaker Vs Romero 2 or Whittaker Vs Rockhold for the Middleweight Championship sound? It sounds good both of them got a ring to it.

The Heavyweights will collide as the KO Walkoff King Mark Hunt returns to the octagon to face #9 ranked Curtis Blaydes. This fight is most likely to have a KO finish at the hands of either one of the fighters. We last saw Mark Hunt at Fight Night 110 where he headlined against Derek Lewis. It was a long battle but Hunt would get the victory in the 4th round via TKO against Lewis. We recently saw Blaydes the very successful UFC 217 where he also earned a brutal TKO victory in the second round against Oleksiy Oliynyk.

A win for both of these fighters can do big things for them. Hunt can get closer to a title shot and potentially face Fabricio Werdum or even the winner of Miocic Vs Cormier later this year. A win for Blaydes will send him higher into the power rankings in the division putting him in the direction of a road to the title.

Undefeated 24-year-old Tai Tuivasa has his hands full at UFC 221 as meets Cyril Asker in the heavyweight division. Tai is now 6-0 in his mix martial arts career while Asker hs 9 wins and 3 losses with his most recent victory being at UFC Fight Night: Bisping Vs Gastelum via Rear-naked choke.

Both of these fighters have a chance of getting closer to breaking into the Top 15 of the stacked heavyweight division as they both hope to make names for themselves.

Jake Mathews faces off against Li Jingliang in the middleweight division. Mathews has gone 1-2 in his last 3 fights and hopes to build upon his last win with another win against Li to put him on the right path. Li is on a very impressive 4 fight win streak with his most recent being at UFC Fight Night: Bisping Vs Gastelum.

Matthews has a chance to shut down Li’s win streak and make an impact in the division. While Li has a chance to build upon his 4 fight win streak and get closer to breaking into the top 15.

Opening the Main Card in Australia will be #13 ranked Light-Heavyweight Tyson Pedro fighting Saparbek Safarov. Pedro is 6-1 in the octogon with his 1 loss being is most recent at UFC 215 against Llir Latifi. Saparbek also only has 1 loss in his 8-1 record in his professional career, with it also being his most recent.

A win for both of these fights will snap the loss Juju that is upon them, they both have tremendous power and skill with TKO victories in their records, it is almost a guarentee a TKO will be the outcome.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
