20 Things ALL Twins Are Tired Of Hearing

Just because I am a twin doesn't mean that you should keep badgering me with dumb questions that are rather self explanatory???

Being a twin for close to 21 years now there are plenty of stupid things I have been asked or been told regarding my twin-ness. Here are just some of the things all twins must be tired of hearing.

1. "Wait, I didn't know you were a twin! That's so cool!"

I mean, I guess? We are just siblings.

2. "Are you two identical?"

Well, he's my twin brother and I'm a girl so what do you think?

3. "Do you look alike??"

Again, are we identical if we are a boy and a girl? Do you and your siblings look alike?

4. "Which of you is older? I would hold that over my twins head if I had one."

Does it really matter? It's only by like 2 minutes?

5. "Are you guys like the same person?"

Lol nope. Think again.

6. "I wish I had a twin, that would be so fun."

Yeah...no, you wouldn't. I don't think you want to share everything with them.

7. "When you get hurt does your twin feel it too?"

Are you being serious right now??

8. "Can you like.. read each others minds?"

You've been watching too much tv, no that's not really a thing.

9. "Do you guys do everything together?"

No, and no we don't like the same things.

10. "What is it like to be a twin?"

Think of it like this: It's like you have a sibling. Crazy right?

11. *Shows a picture of my twin* "But you guys don't look like twins"

Woah really? I'm shocked.

12. "Which of you is the favorite?"

Me, duh. (We all think we are the favorite)

13. Being referred to as "The Twins"

Yes, it may be a surprise to you but we are indeed different people that should be referred to as such.

14. "Did you ever pretend to be each other to play tricks on people?"

Yeah, but it never worked because my brother and I clearly didn't look as much alike as we're not identical twins.

15. "Do twins run in your family?"

Please, just stop.

16. "Who's the smarter one?"

Both of us are pretty smart.

17. "You must be really close!"

I hardly see my twin and when we do we talk but we are far from close.

18. "So are you normal? Because I've heard that multiples tend to have more problems than others."

Yes...?

19. "Which one is the evil twin?"

That's not a real thing, please stop.

20. "I don't think I'd like to have a twin."

Yeah, you probably wouldn't. Thanks for your input.

Now don't get me wrong, I love being a twin and I love my twin brother but, PLEASE, I beg of you. Do not say these things to twins because chances are it will just make them angry.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
