It is mind-boggling to think that I am about to dive into my twenties. I have been around for about 239.9 months, 1043.1 weeks, and7,302 days, which when you think about it, seems unbelievable but in reality, very accurate. It seems like it was just the other day I couldn't wait to turn thirteen and enter my teens but now I am saying goodbye to the teenage years and saying hello to a brand new decade.

I do not know what turning twenty is going to bring me or what the next ten years will be like, but I am more than excited to see though. I imagine there will be a lot of mistakes, some confusion, but a whole lot of memories, some that I can't even imagine at this point in my life. Since I still don't know what the twenties will bring me, I asked a handful of people who are in their twenties or have experienced their year already, what life advice they want to pass down to people who are just in the beginning of this new life. Here are twenty things about entering your twenties:

1. New responsibilities will come into your life, there are a lot of things to figure out.

2. The life you have been mapping out could take a whole new route.

3. Learning how to overcome challenges by yourself will become important.

4. Goals will be set that you are determined to meet with school or work.

5. Making new friends will no longer seem like an easy task but you will start to make lifelong lasting friendships.

6. It doesn't matter what other people think, do what makes you happy first and foremost.

7. You can still count on your parents but you also need to count on yourself first.

8. Juggling multiple tasks at once will be the new norm for you.

9. Certain circumstances will now have to be taken seriously.

10. Budgeting is now something to learn and use on a daily basis.

11. Begin to travel as much as you can, sit outside and look at the stars.

12. Mentoring somebody becomes fun because you have experienced quite a bit.

13. Not everybody gets along but thats okay, and criticism is key.

14. Naps will no longer be taken for granted, sleep is key.

15. Falling in love or experiencing heartbreak will not be childish anymore, it can be a life changing event.

16. If you're in college or grad school, graduation could be right around the corner.

17. Even though you might feel like a true adult, there is still so much growing to do.

18. It will become obvious that time is inevitable and you need to embrace it.

19. Listen to what people have to say, each person has something important to share.

20. Although you are now taking on adulthood, you are just at the start of some of the greatest years.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
