If you're looking for something to get you through the next month of summer, check out these 8 TV series on Netflix. They are all filled with a different plot and consists of a lot of different drama and humor.

1. Gossip Girl

-- If you want to know what it feels like to be a rich teenager living on the Upper East Side of New York City, then watch this show. It's not entirely accurate, but it will give you all of the excitement and drama and fashion. In GG, it seems like everybody has dated everybody, including the parents and that everyone has been involved in a problem with the law. However, you will soon find yourself wanting to be one of these Manhattan elites, whether its Blair Waldorf or Chuck Bass because of how they aspire for greatness and success.

2. Grey's Anatomy

-- McDreamy, McSteamy, Jackson Avery, and Alex Karev, these hot men are just one of the many reasons to start watching this Shondaland show. Meredith Grey always has many thoughts that are relevant to many people. This is one medical drama that will have you hooked from the first episode and beyond even through the tough and saddening episodes. Shonda Rhimes really does know how to shake things up. The 13th season is airing this fall on September 22 on ABC, so if you haven't started watching, you have 2 months to catch up on Netflix.

3. The Office (U.S.)

-- The Office (U.S.) is one of the most humorous shows on Netflix in my opinion. Michael Scott, regional manager of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, has a sense of humor that may stem from the possibility that he may not be very bright. He's very oblivious, lazy, lenient, and hilarious, which is shown throughout the series. Also, Jim and Pam are seriously relationship goals, their love is strange and honestly it's crazy that they were able to find each other. This is one show that will make you laugh during every single episode.

4. Friends

-- Watch Friends if you'd like a realistic view of what it's like to be in your twenties. The jokes and the scenes in this show are hilarious and memorable. It's one of those shows that shows you that happy endings and love do exist but that you will go through some rough times before you get there. Friends is something that you'll never get bored with and something you should watch over and over again.

5. How I Met Your Mother

-- Follow Ted Mosby through his story to his children on how he met their mother. HIMYM is a show filled with life lessons and insight on how you should never settle for someone just because you want to find love and be in a relationship. Through the relationships of Ted, Robin, Barney, and Marshall and Lily, you will see when they are no longer settling and you will also see when they are.

6. Family Guy

-- I never wanted to like Family Guy, it was one of those shows that just grew on me against my own will. Anyone who watches this knows that it brings up issues relevant to our time and to top it all off, I think Stewie is the heart of this show. This little talking baby will never fail to make you laugh and the way the whole family bullies Meg is hilarious. Even if you have told yourself you don' t want to watch it, just try, because you'll be hooked.

7. New Girl

-- Who's that girl? It's Jess. Follow Jessica Day through her relationship and work drama as well as her goofy quirks. Her best friend is a model and she is the farthest thing from a girl who would ever walk the run way because she is very ditzy and hilarious. She gets very invested in her relationships and buries her sorrows in Alcohol like any of us would do after a hard time. Her roommates are also a goofy as she is and they are always getting caught up in things that they probably shouldn't have done in the first place.

8. Private Practice

-- Private Practice is the spinoff of Grey's Anatomy featuring Addison Montgomery (played by Kate Walsh). This show goes deeper into the life of Addison, the problems with her love life, child bearing issues, as well as her successful work life. This show also gives us more of an insight into Amelia Shepherd's life, before she becomes a main character on Grey's. There are plenty of love triangles to stir up the drama in the office and it makes the show more enjoyable and you will also see main characters from Grey's make appearances. Private practice is more laid back and office based than Grey's is but it is still very enjoyable.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
