I would like to call myself a TV show "enthusiast" rather than TV show 'addict' even though I would admit that I'm capable of watching an entire season a day without falling asleep. Here are the thoughts and sayings what would make you a TV show 'enthusiast' and not just someone who watches a show like Game of Thrones from time to time.
1. "Just one more episode"
We've all been there, lying to ourselves that we'd only watch one more but that leads to...point number 2
2. Stay up 'til the dawn of the next day
Because you said you'd only watch one episode, but end up watching an entire season in one night. I mean, you needed to know whether that character was really killed off or if they were coming back, right?
3. "I finished a season in one night, it wasn't that bad, only 20+ episodes, that were each 45 minutes..."
The thought that runs through your head because it didn't seem like a bad idea the night before until you have to wake up at 7 am for class or work.
4. "Oh I didn't do that because I was too busy watching this TV show"
A valid excuse to us, maybe not a valid excuse as to why I didn't read Chapter 9 of my Business Communication book.
5. "I found this new show, but it's not on Netflix anymore, must...find...it...on...other...websites"
I watched one episode, just so I could see if I like it. Unfortunately, I wanted to watch more, but Netflix took it down, or it was never on Netflix. What did that leave me to do, deal with the pop-up ad websites just so I could watch another episode for free? Was it worth it? Yes.
6. Can't deal with this one episode a week deal when it's on TV
I'd probably start another tv series by then like finally watching the Game of Thrones that everyone is talking about.
7. Last episode ends on a cliffhanger
The never-ending questions of what could happen, and it's worse when it just ends like that, no new episode, no new season, nothing.
8. When you finished a season on Netflix, and you have to wait until next year/month for the next season
Worst part is that you tend to forget what happened in the previous season.
9. Finding someone who loves the show as much as you do
What's better than watching a really good tv series, being able to share your love for that tv series with someone that loves the show as much as you do. Better yet, watching them together.
10. Realizing that someone is a little behind on the show than you are
It's ok, right? Just hold back all the spoilers, even though you really want to tell them all about it. Wait for them to catch-up.
11. Researching the trivia of the TV Show
Did you know? Like, 'did you know that 'Supernatural,' is "as of 2017, the longest-running TV show to never win an Emmy."
12. Researching the trivia of the actors on the show
For example, did you know that "Jensen Ackles was a groomsman in Jared Padalcki's wedding."
13. Quote any line from any scene
Ah yes, I remember that line, and what happened when he said that line.
14. Reruns don't bother you
Actually, it gives fills the time before the next episode/season. Maybe you'll find something you didn't realize before?
15. When you become a character or start acting like them from a TV show
Their personality leaks into your personality, and you start to slowly act like them, and why not? Their life might seem so much more interesting.
We all might have one of these thoughts that go through our heads, or do one of these actions. So next time say you're a TV show 'Enthusiast,' it sound so much better than just saying you are addicted to a TV show.
