1. It's something so much bigger than yourself
You are one of a million girls. You have sisters all around the nation who are each living an individual life, waking up doing thousands of different things with thousands of different issues and cultures, yet you are all connected by what really is, "the bond of sisterhood." You all share the values of your sorority's philanthropy, and value your chapter unconditionally.
2. It's a break from reality
Sometimes, college really sucks. So it's the simple things, like walking into chapter to see that one sister who always cracks jokes, going to events to take a break from studying, or maybe it's even just being with a sister who's going to be in the study room with you until 4 am. Sometimes, you just need a break- even if you dont know it. You can always count on your sisters to ease the stress.
3. It's the time of your life
It's the competition of Greek Week, dancing for hours a week to win a giant trophy for the recruitment room, screaming and chanting alongside of your best friends, crafting, sisterhood retreats, sing-a-longs, road trips to unknown places, Relay for Life, movie nights, signature events, caf dates after chapter, another closet of clothes to look through for a night out, adventures around your city and even more. It's the whole college experience and THEN some. It's life with 100+ best friends, which is pure happiness.
4. It builds you as a person
Being in a sorority has a ton of networking opportunities after college, but while you're still an active sister you have a long list of positions that will test and help grow your leadership abilities. From pledge class president to president of the whole sorority, you will always have the chance to step out of your shell and become a leader.
5. It's unconditional love and support
Whether you're in your room at 4 am crying, or need advice on what professor to take for a class, a sister is ALWAYS there and ALWAYS has the answer. Being in a sorority means you're never alone in this crazy thing called life, and at the end of the day, having someone to love and support you is all one could ask for, or all one really needs.
