Change is hard.
It is especially hard when you hate it and would much rather prefer to remain in your comfort zone.
That's me. I hate change and struggle to even cope with just the idea of said change.
But sometimes God calls us outside of our comfort zones. However, through uncertainty and fear He remains constant. Christ remains faithful as He always is. And though I absolutely get sick months leading up to change, I am so grateful that He loves me and has plans for me.
A majority of the time the plans He has for me wouldn't have been the plans that I would choose for myself nor are they the ones that I would have wanted. But I am thankful for a God who loves me so much that He does have plans for my future and doesn't allow me to be stagnant. When the enemy begins to lurk causing me to tremble in fear of the unknown, Christ reminds me in my uncertainty that He's constant and that while stepping out on faith is hard that it will be so worth it.
My cover photo is a beautiful representation of Christ and His visions for our lives.
Let me break it down.
What we see is a blurred vision of our future. We may not know what lies ahead of us, but He sees it crystal clear and knows exactly what is before us. When we choose to follow Him and seek His will it becomes clear and the fear of the unknown begins to turn into peace and joy of the future. Instead of worrying and not trusting Him we can be hopeful about the plans even when we cannot see the outcome, because we know that He does and He's already there.
If you are reading this and are also struggling to cope with the idea of change I pray that you will look to Him who does hold your future and who knows the plans set before you, even when you don't.
Today choose to no longer allow the lies of the enemy to have a hold over and and embrace the goodness that is Christ and the plans He has for you in your new season.
Summer is filled with new adventures for many people. Whether it is a new job, an internship, or even in my case moving to a new state change is difficult. We don't know what the future looks like, but He does. He knows what you are going to do and loves you so much.
I don't know what the future looks like for me and it's hard, but I know that He has a purpose and a plan for me here and now and that as long as I choose to follow Him I will be filled with joy even in the uncertainty. I pray that through every struggle, every victory, and every moment in between that we choose to praise Him because He is so good.
