I'm sure not very many of you are into politics, but it doesn't take a genius to know that this years election is different. It is a slug match between your one and only Führer Trump and Corporatist Clinton. Most of you understand that Hillary is running to be the Democratic nominee and Trump is running to be the Republican nominee. Many people see Democrats and Republicans as being polar opposites, but really they're not too different. In America, there is no suching as left vs. right when it comes politics. It's right vs. center right. That means the two major nominees in our country aren't very different at all. They both have corporate interests in mind and leave their constituents in the dust.
We hear all this talk from Donald Trump about building walls and dividing us up, but is Hillary Clinton really any better? She has a track record of flip flopping on every opinion she's ever had. She was against gay marriage until 2013, against amnesty until as recently as last year. The only reason why she changed her opinions is because it became politicially dangerous for her to have those opinions anymore. Especially with progressive champions like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren coming at her from her left. At least we know where Donald stands on most of his positions, most being flat out ignorant, but we still know where he stands. With Hillary's downward spiral in the polls recently, she has a lot to overcome if she wants to become president. Most of her issues have to do with trust, most either trust her or they don't.
The voter's disdain towards politicians is only more likely to grow with recent events. (Like the Orlando Massacre, the shooting of the Dallas Police Officers, etc...) They want a leader who they think is actually listening to them. (Why they would go to Trump, I have no idea) The populist movement has already made a huge dent in history this year, from Brexit all the way to the new President of the Phillipines. This election season has been bizzare to say the least and this populist movement isn't dying anytime soon, so you better fasten your seat belts 'cause we're in for a bumpy ride.
