This is about moms or whoever fits your description, Grandmas, aunts, older cousins, and so on. This is true life: my mom is phenomenal. According to a simple google search, phenomenal means "very remarkable, extraordinary".

My mom has proven to be just that. When people walk up to you at church to hug you and tell you how blessed you are to have a mom that is so phenomenal, you can rest assured you're in good hands. One day I hope and pray I can receive the same compliment as she did, phenomenal.

So to my mom, how do I repay you? I assume by telling you thank you. Thank you for working hard. Not only do you have me and my brother to care for and worry about and give direction to, but in your profession, you have to do all of those things, too.

Thank you for paving the way for my brother and me to walk on. You set the bar high and let us know we can take on many tasks and be great at it as long as we stay focused, organized and keep God first. Thank you for not only working a lot but also joining a professional business organization all the while, going back to school to obtain yet another degree to better yourself (while making A's along the way)!

Thank you for the long talks about how to wash my hair, put on make up, cook the best dishes and even how to write a resume. Thank you for my good looks and humor and thank your mom for those things, too! Thank you for being so fun and creative. Thank you for the never-ending stories about your life and thank you for getting just the right amount of angry depending on what it was my brother and I did. Thank you for molding me into the woman I am today.

Thank you for teaching me how to be forgiving and how to be strong. Thank you for telling me when to let something go or when to voice my opinion. Thank you for waking me and my brother up in the mornings on Sundays so we can be at church and listen to His word with you.

I could go on and on but, you get it. You are phenomenal, very remarkable, outstanding and spectacular, too. Thank you, mom, for all you do.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
