On September 30th, Troy football traveled to LSU to play them for their homecoming. Troy came out with the biggest win in the school's history but this was not an upset. You can call it an upset if you want but this is not an upset game, Troy came in and played as the better team. The first play of the game Troy forces a fumble against Troy giving Troy the ball at their own 20-yard line. This play was the play that gave Troy hope they could pull out the win.

Fanbase had a huge part in this game. LSU fans decided to leave when their team was not playing the way they should have been. These fans leaving told LSU that the fans do not support the team anymore which made LSU lose the confidence they needed to come back for the win. Troy had a quarter of their student population make the six and half hour drive to Death Valley to support their team.

Troy came in with determination to win after being told they were going to lose by three touchdowns. Troy had come to Death Valley two times before and took the loss late in the 4th quarter of each game after leading the whole game. Troy did not want this third time coming to Death Valley to end like the last two times.

Troy played with heart and played not for themselves but for their school. Troy shows they are One Troy and support each other in any way they can. Troy is not the better team because of rankings but because of determination and giving it every single thing they got. Go Trojans!
