"One Tree Hill" is full of amazing characters, all of which told riveting and inspiring stories. They all had their fair share of ups and downs, life-changing moments, and iconic lines. However, five of those characters were great enough to withstand the test of time.

1. Nathan Scott

He had the best character development on the show. In season one, he was an overly confident jock that treated everyone like crap. He didn't care about anything, except basketball and he relentlessly bullied his half-brother, Lucas.

Then a funny little thing called "falling in love" happened and he completely changed. By the end of the series, he was amazing father, husband, brother, and friend. He is also one of the strongest characters on the show.

He was mentally abused by his father, his mother abandoned him and was an addict, his past always came back to haunt him, and he came close to losing his dream of playing professional basketball way too many times.

2. Brooke Davis

She is, hands down, the perfect role model for girls. Like Nathan, Brooke has an amazing character development. She started off by being a shallow teenage girl, who only cared about partying, boys, and being popular.

Brooke loved to play games with people's lives and cause unnecessary drama. As the show progressed, she turned her life around and she stopped letting boys and popularity define her. By the age of 22, she owned a self-made fashion company. Eventually, she became a foster mom to a teenage girl, before becoming a mom to twin boys.

3. Haley James-Scott

Haley is the most relatable character on the show. She's incredibly down to Earth and she's always there for her friends or her family. Whenever someone needed help or someone to talk to, they always went to her and she never turned anyone away.

She was an amazing mother and made so many sacrifices for her son and her husband. Not to mention, she always chose to see the good in people. She never gave up on the people who needed guidance.

4. Whitey Durham

He was the voice of reason for everyone. During the high school seasons, many people turned to Coach Durham when they were feeling lost or down about themselves. The advice that he always gave people was eye opening and life changing.

5. Dan Scott

Okay, so, morally, he was not the greatest character. He was manipulative, a murderer, and just plain evil. But that's why he is one of the best characters. He is one of those characters that you hate, yet love at the same time. He was known for creating the perfect amount of drama to keep the show entertaining. He always had the quickest and best comebacks, full of just the right amount of sass and sarcasm.

Besides, by the end of the show, he was able to redeem himself by saving Nathan and being a great-grandfather to James Lucas Scott.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
