It sounds cliche, but I've always been so fascinated with the idea of traveling, and exploring different places that I wouldn't consider home. Living that post-grad life and being a New England girl, all I want to do is see what the rest of this world or even the United States has to offer!

And with that, in my 22nd year of life, I'm making a vow to myself that I will at least attempt travel to all the places listed below within the next year, or at least make a good start on this list to embark on a life full of traveling. This past year hasn't been the greatest to me, but it has taught me how happy I am while traveling and how much I genuinely enjoy exploring new places! So I can't wait to see where this year takes me, and all the cool places I'll get to explore in the near future.

1. New Orleans, LA

The music and culture here is something I've always been drawn to. I've just been waiting for the 21st birthday to actually make the trip down there and have some fun.

2. Chicago, IL

Think I'll make it on an episode of Shameless next season?

3. Los Angeles, CA

Can I have my movie moment now, please and thank you?

4. Rochester, NY

Not only is Rochestor loaded with museums, but they even have a super cool amusement park. Sign me up!

5. Las Vegas, NV

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas... Am I right?

6. Santa Fe, New Mexico

The architecture and art here is amazing, and a definite must visit!

7. Sonoma, CA

Who doesn't want to visit Wine Country?!

8. Sedona, AZ

Imagine all the cool hikes I could do throughout Arizona?!

9. Denver, CO

The state parks and history in Colorado

10. Anchorage, AL

I used to be obsessed with Alaska State Troopers, and the nature in Alaska in mind blowing. And who doesn't want to see the Northern Lights in their lifetime?

11. Salt Lake City, UT

There's countless of things to do in Salt Lake, count me in.

12. Key West, FL

Where you at Kenny Chesney? I'm coming for you.

13. San Antonio, TX

I want to see if San Antonio matches all the hype.

14. Chattanooga, TN

I've been to Tennessee before, but I never got to visit Chattanooga. Looks like I need to go back sometime soon!

15. Louisville, KY

My goal in life is to visit every state USA, and maybe I'll make it to a real Kentucky Derby?!

16. Santorini, Greece

If you say you don't wan't to visit Santorini at some point in your life... YOU'RE LYING.

17. Rome, Italy

I just want to have my Lizzie McGuire moment. I want to find my Paolo.

18. Montreal, Canada

With my shiny new passport, I can go anywhere. Why not visit one of our neighboring countries?! And maybe even stop to see the beautiful Niagara Falls?!

19. Barcelona, Spain

And I just want to have my Cheetah Girls moment.. is that too much to ask?

20. Honolulu, HI

Not only is it tropical, but it's in the states! There's no excuse to not explore these beautiful islands.

21. Phuket, Thailand

Can you sense the adventure? Not only is it an inexpensive destination, but the culture and places to explore set this place apart from them all.

22. Bora Bora, French Polynesia

It might be on the more expensive side, but it's beautiful and tropical. Definitely a must.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
