Christmas time is about togetherness. This is a short list of traditions to start during the end of the year that involves togetherness that you can do with your friends or family!
1. See Christmas Lights
GiphyWhether it be downtown or just around a couple neighborhoods, looking at Christmas lights is fun thing to with friends or family!
2. Watch Christmas Movies
GiphyPick a day in December, get together with your loved ones, and put on all your favorite Christmas movies!
3. Make Your Favorite Christmas Dessert
GiphyYou can get together with your loved one(s) and make your favorite desserts! Or maybe even try new recipes every year!
4. Same Gift
GiphyFor me, it has become a tradition that I always get my mom Queen Anne's Chocolates. You could start this tradition by giving your loved one something that is a Christmas edition or only comes out during Christmas time. Like some of their favorite Christmas candy!
5. Decorating
GiphyPick a date during December, that way every time December rolls around, you'll already have the date set when you and your family decorate the house! It's a perfect tradition because it involves togetherness, fun, and it prevents stress from not having Christmas decorations out on time.
6. Gingerbread Houses
GiphyGet together with your friends and family for a friendly gingerbread house competition! Then you could either eat them or destroy them! Either outcome is fun for everyone!
7. Giving Gift Baskets to the Homeless
GiphyIt's important to remember the homeless people. Since December is the season for giving, it would be a fulfilling act of kindness to give whatever you can to the homeless people that you see. Get together with your friends and family and see if there's anyone in need of food or basic hygiene items.
8. Bon Fires
GiphyWhether its inside or outside, sipping on hot chocolate by the fire with your friends is a great tradition to start. Having a bonfire is also a great way to catch up.
9. Family Game Night
GiphyFamily game night seems to be dying out. Since Christmas time is about togetherness, there is no better time to start the tradition of having a family game night.
10. Holiday Bucket List
GiphyAt the beginning of December, get your family together and create a holiday bucket list and complete it throughout the month. There could be new events going on around you that might be fun to attend!
11. Christmas Cleaning
GiphyInstead of spring cleaning, you can Christmas clean and donation items you don't want to less fortunate kids or the salvation army. It clears some space for you and helps others out. It's the perfect win-win situation.
