Recently, my mother happened to get very very very busy. She was undergoing a lot of stress due to some changes and she could not get a moment of peace or time. She is one HARD WORKER, and everyone knows it.
Apparently, the cashier at Trader Joe's (a complete stranger), thought that too!
The cashier was kind enough to ask my mom how her day was going. We all have those moments where we kindly just put all of our worries aside and respond to this popular greeting by stating that you are "well," or "good."
In reality, you probably have a lot going on!
What I also would like to remind you, is that we all have those moments where we actually spill out our life stories or worries and concerns to complete strangers.
My mom told the truth about how she could have had better days and so on. Many details later, the cashier empathized and gave her a free bouquet of flowers to brighten her day. And it did! It even brightened mine! Just a small gesture made a big difference.
The employees on average are kind and known for excellent customer service. As you can see, they live up to the name.
Every time I walk into that store, it is like someone welcomed me with a big hug and everyone is just so happy! People working and doing a job are happy! That has a lot to say about the environment Trader Joe's creates!
Plus every single piece of food in that store is amazing and they are really concerned with quality. They won't let you take unground coffee home if they know you don't have a grinder. They let you taste ANYTHING you want if you really want to. They give out free coffee samples and it is just a place that makes you smile.
So next time you go to Trader Joe's (or have yet to go which is so crazy!), then just take some time to appreciate the place itself and all of the wonderful people that work there.
