For all you music lovers out there, I know how satisfying it is when you find music that you instantly vibe with. Here are some of my favorite artists and bands that are way too underrated, sit back and plug in!

1. First Aid Kit

This girl duo is awesome for anyone who loves a classic acoustic sound and soulful singing. Sisters Johanna and Klara Soderberg perform lyrical masterpieces such as Perfect Places and Ruins that are nothing short of heaven for your ear drums.

2. Bad Suns

Bad Suns is an American rock band with feel good songs like Outskirts Of Paradise and Swimming In The Moonlight. Even in the middle of winter these songs make me want to roll my windows down and totally jam out! They are definitely a band that doesn't deserve to fly under the radar.

3. Mac Demarco

Mac Demarco is one of my absolute favorite artists. His unique style of singing brings something new to the table. His songs like Let My Baby Stay and Ode To Viceroy are the ones I listen to when i'm looking to have a chill summer night by the beach.

4. POWERS

This electronic dance band will definitely get your body moving. Beat Of My Drum and Sunshine are two of my personal favorites that just brighten my day. You can catch me waking up to these songs trying to get into a positive headspace.

5. The Aces

The Aces is an all-girl band that brings a new meaning to the term "girl group." They are an alternative rock band that breaks the stereotype of an all-female music group. My favorite song by them, Baby Who, is perfect for all my ladies who's motto is "I don't need no man. "

6. Louis The Child

Louis The Child is an electronic band that has all my go-to turn-up music. Their Blasé remix is one song I never get tired of hearing when I'm about to head downtown for a night out. Their remixes are fire but don't let that take away the shine from their original songs. Slow Down Love and It's Strange are tunes I know my friends are tired of hearing me play when I'm the passenger seat DJ.

7. Dermot Kennedy

Don't even get me started on this Irish singer-songwriter. I'm pretty sure my love for his voice his unnatural but I just can't get enough. An Evening I Will Not Forget is a beautiful ballad that is constantly on repeat for me. He sings with so much emotion and passion that I can't help but think he's singing to me.

8. The xx

The xx is an English indie-pop band that is a regular feature on all my playlists. Their song "I Dare You" is an upbeat but also very chill song that my car speakers know all too well. I highly recommend checking this group out if you haven't already.

9. Ari Lennox

Ari Lennox is an artist that you can find at the top of my list because she takes R&B to a whole new level. Night Drive is one of my favorite songs by her. I catch myself trying to mimic her remarkable bluesy sound that sends out all the right vibes.

10. Phoenix

Last but certainly not least, is my favorite band on the planet, Phoenix. Their new wave music is one sound I've been rocking out to for years. Their hit song Lisztomania that was released back in 2009 is still in my top 3 best songs of all time. They also released an album in 2017 called Ti Amo that I recommend everyone listen to, from that album Role Model is my best-loved track.

I hope you guys check out these awesome hits and fall in love with their melodies just like I did. Stay jammin' my fellow music junkies!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
