Disney World is a place for kids, adults and families alike to bond and have a great vacation. But what about the young adults? You guys are in a weird stage where you can't really do much. You are sort-of a "probationary" adult. True, you can vote, drive, and be treated like an adult, but you can't drink or get married. This article has ten great tips for going to Disney World as a young adult.

1. Meet your favorite characters!

One thing that Disney is known for is their characters. Meeting characters do not have to be just for the little kiddos. In fact, some of my favorite character experiences that I’ve had have been as a young adult! You can go get archery training from Merida, compare biceps with Gaston, fly away to Neverland with Peter Pan and so much more! You can also catch the characters in stage shows at the castle and in parades! The Festival of Fantasy Parade starts at 3 o’clock in the Magic Kingdom!

2. Dole whips.

It’s no secret that one way to beat the heat of the summer is through ice cream... but you have not experienced ice cream until you’ve had a Dole Whip in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Made with coconut milk and chunks of pineapple, it is truly a life changing experience! The Dole Whip stand is located in Adventureland, near the Tiki Room, which is another great place to go to cool off from the afternoon sun!

3. Dole whips.

What can I say, they are that good. Oh and for all of my over twenty-one friends, you can try a Dole Whip with Rum in the Animal Kingdom Park!

4. Oh yeah, Did I mention Dole whips...

There’s really not much more to say... until you’ve had one, you just wouldn't understand. Can’t make it to the parks? There are plenty of recipes online for homemade Dole Whips! Fair warning; They will probably inspire a trip to Disney!

5. Ride the craziest rides!

No matter what park you are in, each of them has some crazy rides! Now, if you absolutely love giant, upside-down roller coasters, Disney might not be your favorite place, but trust me, it has some pretty intense rides. Splash Mountain is an insane water ride with a drop that is forty-nine feet tall! That’s insane! You might want to bring some extra clothes if you plan on riding that one!

6. Go Disney-bounding as your favorite character!

Disneybounding is a cool tradition that many teens and adults alike take part of in Disney! Now... what is Disney bounding? The easiest way you can think about it is an outfit inspired by your favorite Disney character. It’s so fun to go up to that character and show them your outfit! Their reactions are priceless! Be sure to snap a pic with them and loads more all around the parks!

7. Head to the Grand Floridian Resort and have a spa day!

My personal favorite resort is the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa located in the Magic Kingdom section of Disney. This resort is all about timeless elegance. As soon as you walk in the doors it hits you how big, grand, and elegant this place actually is. (Oh, and the smell is something else!!) Something that often gets overlooked is the spa attached to the resort. You can make reservations or walk-in and you can treat ‘yo self to a fantastic spa experience. The staff there are so incredible and you will walk out feeling like a brand new person.

8. Dapper Day!

Dapper Day is a super-awesome thing that happens twice a year in Disneyworld and Disneyland California. For this special weekend, you can dress up in “Dapper” fashion and run around the parks! Dress up in your favorite poodle skirt, your vintage outfits, or as your very best Mary Poppins cosplay. make your way to dapperday.com for more information.

9. Bippity Boppity Boutique!

Located in Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom, Bippity Boppity Boutique is a very special place that not a lot of people know about! Now while the real magic happens for kids ages three to twelve, teens and adults can still go inside and get “pixie dusted”. What this means is one of the cast members will come out and sprinkle “pixie dust” (glitter) on top of your head! It may sound weird, but it is actually one of the coolest hidden gems in the Magic Kingdom!

10. Take loads of pictures in front of the coolest walls and backdrops.

One of the newest things sweeping the internet is people taking pictures in front of the famous walls of Disney. A lot of people then upload to Instagram in hopes of getting reposted by people who run accounts for the walls. Some of the more famous ones are the “Bubblegum Wall” in Epcot, the “Toothpaste Wall” in Epcot, and the Vine Wall in the Animal Kingdom. You can check out some of these walls accounts on Instagram and next time you are in Disney, stop by for a photo!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
