My Top Ten Favorite Types Of Pasta Based Solely On My Current Mood

To any pasta lovers, my pallet may be basic, but if I could just alternate eating these different types of pasta for dinner each night, it would be a good life...and it would also probably be a rather short life due to malnutrition.

I say my current mood because my opinions are entirely dependent on my mood, which fluctuates regularly. But no matter what my mood is, I always love pasta. I should note that due to dietary restrictions, I don't eat pasta with any sauce, just a little bit of butter and seasoning. This may or may not be the cause of some discrepancies between your rankings and mine.

That said, here are my top ten personal favorites:

1. Penne

I am not even totally sure why, but penne pasta just slaps way harder than any other type of pasta.

2. Tortellini

This was a difficult placement because it is so delicious, but it felt like cheating to put it first since it has the boost of being stuffed with cheese, which seems like an unfair advantage. I do positively love tortellini, however, and everything it stands for.

3. Rotini

I think the tight spirals add a lot of character and thus enrich the overall tasting experience.

4. Ravioli

OK, more pasta stuffed with cheese. I just really like cheese, and I obviously really like pasta, so it's basically a match made in heaven.

5. Macaroni (but only if you add cheese)

OK, maybe I like cheese a little too much.

7. Those Noodles at Ichiban

What do they put on those??? I dream about eating these noodles semi-regularly and I will not apologize for it.

6. Egg Noodles

They are just a little bit lighter and fluffier than other noodles, and it's kind of refreshing.

8. Bow Tie

This is not just because the name is adorable; they also taste really good.

9. Angel Hair

Simple and smooth.

10. Orzo

Tiny, cute, and delicious. It obviously needed to be featured on the list.

Some people might try and tell you that a lot of these kinds of pasta taste the same and just look different; those individuals are wrong and cannot be trusted. I sincerely hope that you share my strong love for pasta and agree that penne and tortellini are the superior grain cuisine!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
