Society has many names that ring a bell to people. Apple and Ford are some of many companies that are a household name. For me, growing up, I heard the word 'Disney' more times than imaginable. This wasn't a surprise, seeing as by the age of twelve, I had seen every single Disney movie created. I was able to create a somewhat stable list of the top ten Disney movies (old and new) created. Here's the countdown:
10. Wall-E
No Disney movie list would be complete without an eye opening movie like Wall-E, to start out the list. I chose to put this on the movie list, because I love the hidden message of how we should take better care of our planet.
9. Up
Who wouldn't love a cute movie about a boy going on an adventure in a house? This movie brings you to tears at the beginning, followed by many laughs as Russel, a boy scout attempting to earn all his badges, travels to a happy place, encountering a bitter old man, balloons galore and a flamingo bird, (this might be my favorite part) named Kevin, as well as a talking dog.
8. Tangled
I knew this movie had to be on the list. Tangled is downright hilarious with a perfect, happy ending. From a quirky chameleon to a daring prince, who wipes out more than I do, the movie keeps you on your toes, laughing and smiling the entire time
7. Beauty and the Beast
This is one of my personal favorites. This classic is beautiful with a message of, "don't judge a book by its cover." This tale surely is as old as time, but something that never gets boring. I love how the movie has a happy ending, and the plot is up and down, which keeps you entertained from the beginning.
6. Lilo and Stitch
This movie is a classic on how to deal with family, and finding a forever home, which is why I feel it should be on the list. This movie captures the events of Lilo and Stitch finding each other and finding the true meaning of family alongside Lilo's sister, Nani.
5. Frozen
This movie, as well as many, shows the importance of family. Being filled with laughs and tears, the viewer is constantly on edge about what will happen next. Spoiler: there is a happy ending for Olaf as well as the sisters, Elsa and Ana.
4. Mulan
This movie had to be included because it is the first of many Disney movies that show a female not needing a male to be rescue her, for her to make it on her own. Mulan has catchy songs and a fantastic plot that keeps you on your toes.
3. The Incredibles
This is a classic that shows that family isn't always the same, and that sometimes you need to give people time to grow up. This movie is great for the entire family to watch and includes a lot of action.
2. Toy Story (1, 2, and 3)
This series of movies is great for all ages. This is something many of us can connect to and holds a special meaning of friends being important, as well as family. The relationship between Buzz and Woody shows that you can't judge a book by its cover, and it doesn't matter what differences there are in order for you to be friends with someone.
1. Find Nemo
Hands down the best Disney movie created was Finding Nemo. This movie has the works of an adventure, with tears and a few laughs here and there. Finding Nemo shows a forever friendship being created, as well as the love between a father and a son. I love this movie personally because of how it works together to teach a lesson to people of all ages. If you are looking for something to watch with this, Finding Dory is the perfect sequel.
