As an English major, I get a lot of questions. Whether they be from friends or family, it doesn't matter. You will more than likely have a few of these questions at the forefront of your mind. Below my friends, are the top five questions that English majors hear way too often.

1. What are you going to do with your degree?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions that English majors get. I don't get why people ask me this question all the time, I barely know what I'm going to do with my degree. What a way to put me on the spot!

2. Do you want to teach?

This question usually follows after someone asks me what I am going to do with my degree. We don't all want to teach. There are plenty of other career opportunities out there besides teaching. Maybe I want to be a bestselling author. The odds of that happening are slim but you never know.

3. Can you edit my paper?

The question of all questions. Once someone figures out that you're an English major, it's all over. All of a sudden you know all there is to know about papers and you can magically fix your friend's paper. Don't get me wrong, I love editing papers, considering that's the field I'm going into, but still, it's not an all-the-time thing.

4. You don't like writing papers?

No I do not, I dislike writing papers as much as the next college student. I do love to write my own content on I topic I am interested in, not a nine page paper on the elements and standards.

5. You don't like to read?

I in fact love to read. A lot of English majors do like to read. We sometimes don't have time to do so because of the whole college thing you know? I would read 24/7 if I could but I unfortunately do not have the time to do so.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
