So every year there are always new things that you want to buy to make your home seem a little homier during the fall seasons. Yes, I know it is still summer and probably will be for the next couple of months in some places, but that doesn't mean you can't be gearing up for those wonderful warm colors of fall. Here are the Top 10 things that you can make, on a budget.

1. Fire Pots

Now talk about cute and convenient. You can make them as large or as small as you would like. You literally just buy a terracotta pot, line it with aluminum foil, throw some charcoals in, light it up, and you are ready to go. This is perfect if you are having a small party and it's too warm to have a fire but it's the perfect time for s'mores, plus this doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg like some fire-pits do, you can make this one for around $10.

2. A New Kind Of Welcome

Now how cute is this?! You could put this literally anywhere in the house- the front door, the fire place, literally anywhere. To make this all you need to purchase are some dollar store plastic pumpkins, the spray paint color of your choice, and some paint or stickers that you want to put on them. Again, this is another craft that you can do for around $10-$15.

3. Make a Wreath

There are so many different ones that you can make, it's not even funny. These are fun and easy to make and don't take that much time to put together. If you are feeling a little crafty, why not give this one a shot?

4. Bath Bombs

Now I know these are all the craze, so why not make your favorite fall scent into something that you can use over and over again? I know almost every store carries their own version, but how much nicer would it be if you could make your own PSL bath bomb?!?!?!

5. Giving Thanks Jar

Now I know this one is more centered towards Thanksgiving, which seems like forever away, BUT why not challenge yourself from today until Thanksgiving put in a little note of something you are thankful for. It doesn't have to be something huge or well thought out, just something simple like, "Jen bought my coffee today" or "I had a hard day at work and when I came home my roommate or significant other had dinner ready". It can be the smallest of things, but when you get to that day, you will realize that all of the small things do add up.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
