Our generation was the first group of kids to grow up with the start of innovation in game development for mobile phones. We were the kids that were glued to our phones playing the first of the first phone games, and whether it was on an iPhone, Android, and even maybe Blackberry or Nokia, we all shared our appreciation for the developers who made these games. So without further ado, I present (in my opinion) the top five classic phone games from my childhood!

1. Temple Run

Chances are, you had that super annoying friend who always bragged about his or her super high Temple Run score. And no matter how long you grinded for those tokens, and got to those double and triple coin boosts, perfecting your skills in the process, you somehow never mustered a score greater than your friend's. Totally not a story of mine. The pretty cool app though, and there were a lot of cool features and an arcade-based game with an economy system just is a great formula for an app.

2. Angry Birds

This app, unlike many other classics, was actually released first as a paid app -- and at $7.99 at that (I only know this because this is the only paid game I ever got). But this app was priceless for the the sheer joy recieved when taking down those pigs! A major reason for the large success of the app was a simple interface, easy task (kill the pigs), a degree of difficulty, and a huge learning curve -- and never forget the amount of designing in each of the levels and birds.

3. Fruit Ninja

Ah, there's no feeling like taking a blade and slicing until staining the area with a mess of liquid -- with fruit of course!

4. Candy Crush

This incredibly addicting game was an immediate hit, and the game is still very popular. Many people can relate to running out of lives, raging on the game, and most of all, getting that little thing from getting five candies in a row and combining it with a striped candy.

5. Subway Surfers

A Temple Run-esque game, Subway Surfers offers everything Temple Run does, but with greater functionality. And although it came after Temple Run, Subway Surfers is arguably a better app, but it's not the one that came first, and will not be first in this list.

Honorable Mentions: Clash of Clans, Temple Run 2, Words with Friends, Draw Something, Tiny Tower, Pocket Frogs, Geometry Dash

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
